Summary: Launch an easy-to-manage website for a local community's fledgling civic association, EPCrossing.org. I chose the WordPress blog engine, which gives the additional benefit of two-way communication between the board/committee leadership and the members. It has really been a great learning experience on the power of full W3C compliancy combined with the infinite expandability of PHP & mySQL.

Summary: Teach children how much sleep they need without turning them off. (What kids haven't been preached to on this topic by parents or other adults?) Animals are a proven hook for our target age group of 5- to 10-year-old boys and girls. We used illustration, animation, funny audio talent and interactivity to engage the audience.

Summary: Teach kids, teens and parents what happens during the different types of Asthma flare-ups. It was important to educate without being too graphic or scary. (One of the overarching principles of KidsHealth is to educate with comfort, not fear.) So, my illustrative style and voice-over tone had to be calming.

Summary: Some might call it brochure-ware, but it was useful content that just so happened to start life as a print newsletter. I worked on converting 5 issues into a multi-part website. Converting Quark Xpress doc into web-ready layouts, graphics and code.
