Summary: While at Alfred University, I pretty consistently split my time between Graphic Design and Sculpture. While my original reason for choosing Alfred was for pottery, I quickly found myself enjoying modern sculpture taught by Glen Zweygardt. These are some samples of work I did while at Alfred University.
Tech: Marble, Steel, Wood, cast aluminum, cast bronse, mixed media
Role: Sculpture

Summary: I have been throwing and sculpting in clay since the 7th grade, and these are some samples of clay vessels I created while at Alfred University. Ceramics was the original reason I found myself interested in Alfred, because they are world renown for their under-grad and graduate ceramic programs. I enjoy wheel throwing and hand building, but my time at Alfred took on a more design and sculpture focus.
Tech: Stoneware, Traditional and Raku firing
Role: Potter / Sculpture

Summary: While I have never taken any painting classes, on occasion I get the desire to paint. This is an untitled piece I started in 1999 based on a painting by Ernest Trova, which was in-turn based on Leonardo da Vinci’s Symmetry of Man drawing. It's 53½" wide x 62" high and is mainly acrylic with a bit of found materials.
Tech: Oil, Acrylic, Mixed media
Role: Painter
